More Information

7 and 11 Evergreen Place, were built in the early 1980s and designed by Cooper Rankin Architects. Both stand at twenty-six storeys tall and have between 183-185 suites. Led by Arnie O. Cooper and William Keith Rankin, Cooper Rankin Architects was established in 1974 and has designed a wide variety of buildings across Canada and the United States.

These two towers on Evergreen Place have a local touch - much of their exteriors are clad in Tyndall limestone. The limestone is split-faced to provide texture to the facade. At the bottom level, the corners of the building are chamfered to complement the covered walkway. There are a series of truncated arches which lead to a sheltered entrance way. The two buildings have been located in such a way, that a clear view to the Legislative building is still possible from Roslyn Road. The Evergreen Towers are still a highly visible part of the Osborne Village streetscape.
