More Information
910 Maginot Street, the Maginot Arena, was designed in a modernist architectural style featuring rectangular and flat-roofed entry and dressing-room section and a peaked wing housing an ice rink. This latter form is accented by projecting trusses which expose and thematize the building’s tectonic functioning. The building matches the design of Bertrand Arena, which along with this building was erected as one of the two St. Boniface arenas constructed in honour of Canada’s 1967 Centennial.
