- Also known as Precious Blood School, the original core of the present elementary-level complex probably dates to the mid-1950s, built as part of the Roman Catholic parish made famous by its church; designed by Etienne Gaboury.
- What remains of the first school constitutes a one-storey stuccoed classroom wing on the east side lane. It is attached at a right angle to a two-storey portion, visible on the back side of the east section and overlooking the yard to the north
- To these were added two large new wings in 1971 to complete a quadrangle surrounding a courtyard used for parking and natural light.
- Faced in Tyndall stone, the new entrance shifted westward along the street in a series of projecting and receding volumes while the other walls are generally channelled limestone with few windows.
- The modest yard is behind on the north side; the lane on the west side jogs around the school which is broader across the front.
