More Information
This is a large one-and-three storey junior high school that shares a cavernous yard with Radisson Elementary and Transcona Collegiate; students could spend their nursey-to-twelve school years on this same square block.
Design Characteristics
| Height: | 1 storey, 3 storeys |
|---|---|
| Neighbourhood: | Radisson, Transcona |
- It was constructed in two sections from a single plan that is seamless from the outside; the sections are joined at a right angle by the main entrance
- The steel and concrete structure is sheathed entirely in a buff limestone, with the many windows in the academic wing channelled and trimmed with more stone; inset well in the facade, the windows read dark in contrast to the pale stone and set up a steady pattern of light and dark on the north and south sides
