Biography
Peter Wreglesworth graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1970. He began working for Smith Carter Partners upon his graduation and was appointed an associate just two years later.
In 1974, Wreglesworth left Smith Carter Partners to establish his own practice. He worked on numerous projects, including projects for the Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation. In 1977, Wregeslworth designed Colony Square for Lakeview Properties Ltd, which he did in co-operation with Smith Cater Partners. In 1979, Wreglesworth returned to Smith Carter Partners as a partner.
During his time at Smith Carter, Wreglesworth worked on a variety of projects. He was partner-in-charge for the Bank of Montreal Building, the Air Canada Building, and the First Broadway Place project.
Wreglesworth was relocated to the firm’s Vancouver office Aitken Smith Carter Partners in 1984. In Vancouver he went on to form Aitken Wreglesworth Associates. Wreglesworth is now Senior Principal at Stantec Architecture.
Wreglesworth holds memberships in the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, the Society for College and University Planning, and the Urban Land Institute—BC Chapter. In 1994, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
