Chriss Tetlock Place

Chriss Tetlock Place, a transitional housing facility containing six residential units, was completed in 2012.The centre was constructed to aid women struggling with addictions, mental health issues, or homelessness and also incorporates space for addictions recovery programming. It was named after Chriss Tetlock, who founded the North End Women’s Centre. Funding came from the Province of Manitoba Housing Shelter Enhancement Program, Winnipeg Foundation, City of Winnipeg, and Manitoba Real Estate Association. Clad in lively, contrasting shades of green animate the façade, which is lent further interest via projecting eyelid windows. A small forecourt stands at the centre of the building, sheltering the entrance.
