More Information
The buff brick building was constructed in 1951 to provide water for the nearby, now-demolished Amy Street Steam Plant. The building was renovated for use as an office, workshop, and storage space by the city’s harbourmaster and more recently as a cafe. Its large windows provide beautiful riverfront views and the walkway around the building’s edge is a continuation of the riverfront path network. This location has played an important role since the 1950 flood, as a measurement spot for river levels.
