Lions and their Prey - A Downtown Walking Tour
12 July 2023 at 6:30 pm
Main Street at Market Avenue, at the streetcar sculpture plaza in front of Pantages Playhouse Theatre
Registration free but required.
Have you spotted the dozens of lions and other mammals—and reptiles, birds and fish—dwelling atop Winnipeg’s downtown buildings? In this approximate 2.5 km, 90 min. walking safari, we consider what’s lurking up there and why. Binoculars will be available, but bring your own if you have them. Shooting of animals prohibited, unless it’s with your camera.
The tour will be led by historian Gail Perry.
The Winnipeg Architecture Foundation's 2023 programming has been made possible with support from the Winnipeg Foundation, the City of Winnipeg, and the Province of Manitoba.
