Cinema Batalha, in Porto, is one of the oldest cinemas still in operation in the world. The film has accompanied the building’s refurbishment work over the last three years. By telling the story of this cinema, we are also telling the story of a city and a country. Vai no Batalha immerses us in the hundreds of stories that this place has to tell us, through rare or even previously unseen archive footage, old films, contemporary images and much more.
