Details
Join designer and artist Ben Wasylyshen for a free tour of the Cathedral. A towering form on Winnipeg’s Main Street and adjacent to the city’s historic St. John’s Park is Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. The imposing five-dome church is partially modeled on Kyiv, Ukraine’s Saint Sophia Cathedral and took nearly 14 years to build. Work began in 1949 based on a design by Green Blankstein Russell. A fire in 2016 caused extensive damage, which has now been repaired.
