More Information
Architect Leslie Stechesen designed his own house at 344 Turnbull Drive in St. Norbert. In an area prone to flooding, the house sits on stilts and straddles a ravine, which drains the fields behind. Rough-sawn cedar prevails outside and in. A feast of multi-paned windows created a traditional feel, juxtaposed with its modern touches. The house reflects Stechesen’s appreciation for nature and the use of natural materials.
