965 Portage Avenue – then operating as Bethany Baptist Church – opened its doors after a major expansion on 6 October 1968. The new building, located south of the extant church, features a dramatic angular design, with a large stucco wall fronting Portage Avenue. The base of this façade is embellished with vertically patterned stained glass and Tyndall limestone cladding.
