More Information

Taking its name from the adjacent Disraeli Street, construction of the Disraeli Freeway was completed in 1960, connecting Henderson Highway with the city’s downtown via Main Street. The freeway is a vital link approximately 2 kilometres long between the downtown and the northeastern quadrant of the city. The current Disraeli Bridges date to 2012, replacing the previous ones. A separate walkway for pedestrians and cyclists is supported on the old bridge’s piers and includes a public art component.
