More Information
This structure was built for Manitoba Government Telephones, Canada’s first provincially owned telephone system. The provincial architect designed it in a stripped-down Classical Revival style. The red brick structure has limestone accenting and a metal cornice adorning its top. After the facility closed in 1990, the building was rehabilitated into affordable housing.
