A walk down Selkirk Avenue isn’t complete without a stop at Winnipeg’s oldest donut shop, which has been operating for more than 75 years. The business opened on bustling Selkirk Avenue in the early 1950s, with a new structure built on the site in 1959. They needed as many as five people working the counter to fill orders. On the outside is a donut tile wall designed by artist Doug Melnyk.
