More Information
The construction of this fire hall speaks to the growth of Saint Boniface in the early 1900s. Now a municipally designated historic site, Fire Hall No. 1 departed in design from other fire halls in and around Winnipeg. The Romanesque revival style structure is buff brick with a rough cut limestone base and features two towers that flank the unornamented facade.
