More Information
The church building at 170 St. Mary’s Road was designed by local firm Green Blankstein Russell and constructed for Norwood United Church in 1948 after their old building was destroyed by a fire. The building is currently occupied by the United Church of Canada, who purchased the building in 2009.
The church is a brick structure retaining most of its original components. The original design afforded a seating capacity of 500 for congregation and also features a bell tower with a steeple. A Sunday School addition was completed in 1951, also by Lawrence Green of Green Blankstein Russell.
