Biography
The firm was founded by Lloyd Finch, a 1926 graduate of the University of Manitoba, in the 1930s. Its office was located in the Phoenix Building, which is located at the corner of Princess and Donald Streets and Notre Dame Avenue. The firm continued operation under the directorship of Lloyd Finch’s son Cal Finch. It played an especially important role in the design of Osborne Street North, an important architectural thoroughfare featuring a number of significant examples of mid-century modern architecture.
