More Information
This low, brick-clad and rectilinear structure is a good example of the popularization of International Style modernism as a common form of commercial architecture in the middle of the twentieth century. The spare structure expresses a certain elegance in achieving its task of housing the local offices of elevator manufacturer and distributor Otis. Light green panels accent the curtain glass west wall, which is set back, allowing for plantings.
