More Information

This buff coloured brick structure, resting on a raised rusticated stone foundation, is the oldest operating fire hall in the city. Four large arched doors on the front facade are toppled by delicate brick drip mouldings and stone keystones. A stone sign with the words “Fire Station No. 5” marks the personnel entrance on the east end. The upper floor features large, square headed window openings with stone sills and heads. The tower is used to dry fire hose.
