More Information
Riel House is a small one-and-a-half storey, gable-roofed, squared-log house set on a river lot on the east side of the Red River. The property is associated with the family of Louis Riel. It is a good example of Red River Frame construction and early Métis settlement patterns. The house was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1968.
