More Information
Rotary Heritage Park is home to Transcona Museum’s largest artifact: Locomotive CN 2747. Constructed here in Transcona in April 1926, CN 2747 was the first steam locomotive built in Western Canada. After working primarily as a freight hauler for 34 years, CN 2747 was brought back home to Transcona and placed here on permanent outdoor display. In 2015, the Transcona Museum acquired it and has been working on its preservation ever since.
