Seven Oaks House is the oldest remaining home in Winnipeg. Built for John and Mary (Sinclair) Inkster, heads of an influential Scottish-Métis family, it is now the Seven Oaks House museum. Their first log farmhouse, one of the oldest buildings in the province, stands nearby.
