More Information
This Gothic-inspired building originally housed St. Matthew’s Church. When that parish outgrew it, the building was used by other congregations and the Portuguese Association of Manitoba. In 1987, it opened as the West End Cultural Centre, a well-loved community resource. In 2009, a major addition was built to provide more performance space and to upgrade the building. Original red brick has been painted but the Tyndall stone trim is still visible.
